Early Semester Note for Students

We recommend sending out a short note to students about 2-3 weeks after the semester begins.  The dust from orientation and the beginning of the semester has cleared and students are ready to buckle down and study.

The following is some sample text you can use in an email, blog post or note put into student mail boxes. Feel free to use, edit or add to it.

Dear Students,

You have access to over 900 interactive and computer-based legal tutorials from CALI, the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction.  These tutorials are written by law professors and are available in over 30 legal subjects.   CALI tutorials are great for mastering course material during the semester and for studying for exams.  Best of all, they are completely free for you to use thanks to our school’s membership in CALI.

When you register for the first time at cali.org, use our school’s authorization code to create your user account. The authorization code is:

(PUT AUTHORIZATION CODE HERE UNLESS POSTED ON PUBLIC WEBSITE…IF ON PUBLIC WEBSITE JUST SAY WHERE OR WITH WHOM THE CODE CAN BE FOUND.)

You only need to use this authorization code the first time you register.

Have a great semester!
